This weekend was the last French National race of the year ; The âśChampions Cupâť and it was held in Neuvile de Poitou. This race was run on a carpet track with some slippery parts. It was the opportunity for me to run my brand new XB4 2016 for the first time.

In 4WD, the car was working perfectly from the start, I had to work a little bit at the beginning as the traction on this track was very high but in the end the car was very fast!
In Qualif, Lorenzo Crolla took the TQ and I made 2nd spot, with 2 TQ each, he got the overall TQ as he had a best overall time by 2 secs.
In finals, Lorenzo was again super fast and didnâ™t made any mistakes and he managed to won the 3 mains. For me, I made mistakes in A1 and A2 and took 3rd spot of those finals and I had a better run in the last one where I got 2nd spot to secure the 3rd position overall behind Lorenzo (Xray) and Julien Formentin.
In 2WD, my race was not bad, I managed to qualify 3rd behind Ludovic Valtier and Lorenzo Crolla (XRAY) with some quali which were not perfect but which allowed me to get this 3rd spot on the grid. During first final, I made some mistakes and lost a lot of time in the traffic and I ended 8th of this run. In the second final, we had a very good hard fight with Ludovic Valtier who already won the first final but he had the last word in this final and took the win in front of me. Last final I made a few mistakes at the start but managed to close this run at the 3rd spot which gave me the overall 2nd.
